We bought their chocalate bread for ourselves and a neighbor. If you are near Stockbridge you should put this into your GPS. Just about 15 minutes from town and worth the trip

We called ahead and ordered 2 margarita pizzas so they’d be ready when we arrived but when we got there, we payed and they handed us 2 uncooked regular cheese pizzas. We asked why they weren’t cooked and they said they assumed that we wanted pizzas to take home and that we should have been more clear instead of apologizing. Won’t be returning to this location although the Berkshire mountain bakery in Pittsfield was an excellent experience everytime we went there.

Great Bread and selection.

This is a special bakery in a special area. The breads are crusty and chewy- the way real bakers make bread. We ordered the olive bread and the cherry walnut bread. Nothing like it anywhere. Ordered tapenade spread the added the artichoke spread. Get there fast!

Delicious breads, wonderful sourdough! Love the day old bread basket. Only complaint was that the chocolate croissant had maybe 4 chocolate chips in it, still a yummy croissant.

It's a very nice place. The bread is amazing

The bread is heavenly. I drove 2 hours to get there since I have a gluten intolerance and I'm happy to say that I was able to eat multiple slices of multiple different types of bread from this Bakery and my stomach stood nice and flat. I love the flavors that the bread has and I'm just happy that I was able to enjoy it

The best baguettes, spinach croissants and chocolate croissants. The small square baguettes with jalapeno & onion (not always available) are to die for. One day old breads are discounted and still very fresh. The baker was also featured in the Netflix documentary "Cooked"

Everything is so delicious that we drive 2 hours to get their products occasionally. Our favorite is the bread and chocolate, which is truly special. However, EVERYTHING is delicious!

Took a roadtrip here after watching them be featured on a Netflix's special. Got there right before they were closing so obviously almost everything was already gone. I did pick up a raisin loaf, some wheat bread, some cheddar and jalapeno bread sticks and this delicious sweet and salty sticky round goodness they had in a basket on the counter, it was amazing!!

Ever since coming to this country, I've struggled to find real bread. Bread that has no added sugar, no yeast, no preservatives, no fillers. After twenty years of searching, I've found it, at Berkshire Mountain Bakery. We stop by every few months, since it's a drive from Albany, and get enough to fill the freezer. We've tried most of the products they make, pizzas, croissants, sandwiches, breads, chocolate bread (it's own category), and it's all been a solid five stars. Add to that some of the best service I've experienced, and reasonable prices, and you can see why they're rated so highly. I recommend the pan loaf of whole rye sourdough if you like Russian style black bread.

Highly recommended. A little out of the way from the town but well worth the diversion. Pro tips: Get here early as they sell out of the most popular items. Bring your baked goods and stop by the fountain pond trail close by.

A tiny store with excellent breads sold at very reasonable prices. Everytime I come here I stock up on the sourdough pizza crusts. I only wish there was a branch located in NYC. I only wish the breads were sold in paper bags, not plastic.

Chocolate bread is nirvana!

I absolutely love the take and bake pizza. Fresh and or frozen are both great. The dough is delicious. It can get a little tight in there, but you place your order and step outside. The bread and pastries are a fantastic snack while you wait. There is seating outside if it gets to cramped.

The best breads you can buy, primarily sour dough, great croissants.

Had the potato and onion bread by chance, and now I can’t seem to live without it. Also, the cinnamon and sugar croissants are to die for! Flakey, soft, crunchy, and sweet all at the same time.

Great tasting bread, excellent pastries, friendly staff. Note that there is absolutely no connectivity here, if using GPS make sure you have maps saved locally.

They are famous from the Netflix series cooked. We drove up from Eastern Ma to give them a try. The bread is excellent however somehow I expected it to be more distinctive then it was.

Very yummy! You can taste the love and experience in their baked goods! They also carry goods crafted from other local merchants. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. This business draws in quite a few of customers daily,but they do give attention to each one and are very efficient in processing orders. They carry enough fresh items throughout the day and into the evening,even before closing time!

Is there any better bread in the world? Michael Pollen would say no

Definitley stop for the bread and croissants but treat yourself to one of their pizzas. Fresh out of the pizza oven.

This place might be the greatest bakery. Everything tastes amazing. I bring the almond croissants back home to VA and everyone loves 'em.

This guy is passionate about his craft and that passion comes through in his bread. If you're a home baker you must ask for a tour, it's an impressive place.

We love this bakery and (seriously) wish we could move to the Berkshires just to be able to enjoy their bread on a more regular basis! You can't go wrong with any loaf of their bread, and we always grab some almond croissants and coffee to enjoy outside while we are there too.

Incredible bakery that makes very special bread, I have lived in Housatonic all my life and I grew up eating Richards Pizza and it is the most amazing pizza I have ever had, I also really enjoy the chocolate bread. I recommend everyone and anyone to try his breads! AMAZING!

Great varieties of bread in traditional and classical mode. I do not like going there because I just cannot resist the temptation to buy up the store.

The best bread in the Berkshires and some of the best in the world. It's the only bread I buy locally and miss it a lot when I travel. I always give as gifts. Take and Bake pizza is excellent as are all their spreads, soups and baked goods. It's one of the Berkshires bests and a one of a kind place. A treasure. Don't miss it.

This place is fantastic! The breads are incredible. Watch the Netflix episode before you head out to enhance your experience, oh and you may want to order ahead to ensure that the breads you want are available.Live in Florida now and REALLY miss this place!

Probably the best pizza and bread we have tried in the tristate area of Berkshires and Capital Region. We were visiting Berkshire Monument Mill ruins in Housatonic about a mile away (worth a side trip - it's a cool exploration!) and wanted to grab a bite to eat. We bought both the pizza and the sourdough bread. Wow! The pizza was amazing! The bread was different in a good way too. Little did we know, but apparently this is a cult place with a long history. Google "Richard Bourdon", if you want to know more. Briefly, they bake long-fermented, naturally leavened whole grain dough. Possibly the first place in the US and still one of the very few elite bakeries. So now we make a point to visit Berkshire Mountain Bakery when we are in the area even if it's out of the way. Highly recommended!
